Conor McGregor arrested, questioned for ‘attempted sexual assault’ in Corsica
Former UFC two-division champion Conor Mcgregor seems to be in trouble with the authorities again.
It was reported that “The Notorious” was detained following an alleged incident in Corsica.
A report from AFP Sport claimed that McGregor was arrested by police in Corsica.
The accusation was initially described as “indecent exposure.” An update later reported that McGregor was taken in for questioning following an alleged incident of attempted sexual exhibition.
A statement to AFP from the prosecutor’s office said: “Following a complaint filed on Sept. 10 denouncing acts that could be described as attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition, Mr. Conor Anthony Mac Gregor (sic) was the subject of a hearing by the police.”
A representative from the McGregor camp issued a statement to TMZ Sports saying: “Conor McGregor vigorously denies any accusations of misconduct. He has been interviewed and released.”
The UFC has not released an official statement regarding Mcgregor’s incident.
