WWE interested in signing Conor McGregor and Daniel Cormier

WWE executive states the pro wrestling promotion would be interested in signing Conor McGregor and Daniel Cormier.

The numbers and draw that Conor has pulled have translated to ticket sales, business endeavors and now the WWE is also interested in signing the former two time UFC two division champ. 

WWE executive Triple H has confirmed the expressed interest in signing the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor and the former light heavyweight and heavyweight champion Danie Cormier. 

Former WWE superstar Triple H spoke with TMZ Sports and confirmed the pro wrestling promotion has held conversations with Daniel Cormier on a potential signing. Triple H said he would only pursue the signing if UFC president Dana White cleared it. 

“I love Daniel. We’ve obviously talked a lot in the past. We’ve had conversations about him doing stuff with us in the past whether that’s in-ring or whether that’s commentary or doing different things,” Triple H said.

“I think we’d love to do something with him if the time is right — obviously, respectful to UFC and to Dana and everything else. We’d love to chat with him and we have an open relationship as far as communication so I’m sure shortly we will when he figures out what he wants to do.”

Triple H added that the promotion would also he interested in the services of the former featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor.

“I think that Conor McGregor versus Vince McMahon with that Billion Dollar Walk on the line — I mean, I think that’s a match made in heaven,” Triple H said.

The MMA/WWE crossover started bBrock Lesnar and later  Ronda Rounsey signed with WWE. 

Former UC champion Cain Velasques also transitioned to WWE and was later released. 

Recently, Mike Tyson made an appearance on AEW with several UFC fighters including Henry Cejudo, Kelvin Gastelum, Belfort. 

Seems many retired or potentially retired fighters are interested in the move over to wrestling. 

Could we possibly see Conor, Daniel, or any other UFC superstar in the ring?
