Ryan Garcia wants to enter the Octagon to knockout Dillon Danis

Ryan Garcia is an undefeated 21-year old boxer who has quickly become one of the boxings’ biggest stars. He has been the WBC Silver lightweight champion of the world since 2019.  Ryan has become an internet sensation after several of his knockouts went viral.

Ryan made headlines by calling out Conor Mcgregor’s long time training partner and Jiu-Jitsu coach, Dillion Danis. Danis is a 25- year old Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and professional MMA fighter who currently competes in Bellator.

Garcia appeared on ESPN with Ariel Helwani, ‘The Flash’ addressed the issue of Conor McGregor’s Jiu-Jitsu coach Dillon Danis Danis commenting on anything he posted. He said, “I have no idea what his beef with me is. He literally started commenting on every video I have, and I’m like ‘man, this guy’s a big fan.’ I thought he was a fan.”

Ryan quickly grew tired of the comments and offered a solution. He offered to fight ‘El Jefe’ in an “MMA ring.” He said, “You know what I would do. Instead of what everybody thinks I’m gonna do. I would go in the MMA ring with him I would be that b**lsy to do it.”

In response, Ariel Helwani asked the WBC Silver Lightweight Champion if he could win a fight in which punches, kicks, and knees were legal. He confidently replied, “Oh yeah. Especially against Dillon Danis.”

Conor McGregor’s head coach, John Kavanagh, also trains Dillion Danis. He responded to Ryan Garcia’s call-out on twitter.

Coach Kavanagh tweeted, ” If you could last 1 round in an MMA fight with @dillondanis I’d retire and never train again.” Seems as though coach Kavanagh is calling Garcia’s bluff to fight Dillon Danis in an MMA fight.

This is not the first time a boxer has teased coming over to MMA. How many boxers have we seen dangle this idea of coming over to MMA and never make that walk? Is he coming to MMA, most likely not.

Boxers such as Tyson Fury, Floyd Mayweather, and Ryan Garia have all announced they would fight inside the octagon but none have, so far. Is this just another promotional stunt?

What are your thoughts on the call-out? Do you want to see Ryan Garica enter the Octagon against Dillon Danis?
