Mike Perry calls Nate Diaz a “skinny, weak, little b****

Mike Perry defeated Mickey Gall in the co-main event via a unanimous decision on Saturday at UFC on ESPN 12. Following his huge win, Mike Perry has stolen the spotlight in the welterweight division.

The best time to make a call out is right after a huge win. As expected, Mike called out several welterweights in his post-fight interview. Perry had a stern warning for Darrent Till,

“Man, 170 is such a great place for me, but I wanna fight Darren Till. I do wanna fight that guy. I mean, if I see him in person, I’m gonna fight him.”

“Nobody is gonna stop me. I’m gonna grab him. I’m gonna stick my finger in his eye and I’m gonna get a hold of him. I mean, I’ll say it out loud because I don’t care.”

In an interview with ESPN on Tuesday, Perry (14-6 MMA, 7-6 UFC) was asked about a potential matchup against Diaz (20-12 MMA, 18-11 UFC). Perry said he respects what Diaz has done in the sport, but he doesn’t respect the skills of the UFC veteran.

“I think he’s a skinny, weak, little (expletive), like Mickey Gall,” Perry said. “I respect what he’s done in this sport. He plays the guard game, jiu-jitsu, and (expletive). He thinks he can box with (those) little weak-ass punches that he’s got – little salt and pepper punches. He doesn’t stand a chance to hit me hard enough.”

Perry analyzed the potential matchup against Diaz, Perry said he’d implement a similar gameplan to what Jorge Masvidal implemented at UFC 244.

“I’d hit him on the feet (the) same way Jorge Masvidal did,” Perry said. “I’d play his guard. I’d get half guard (and) sit on top of him. It’d look exactly the same way the Mickey Gall did, to be honest with you. If you guys liked that fight, then yeah, you’ll probably like the Nate Diaz fight, too because he’s a little more durable. He’ll probably try to stand there and box back with me, but my power punches (are) just – I’d sit him down.”

Who wouldn’t want to see this match up? Nate Diaz has yet to respond to Perry’s comments. Nate’s last fight was in Nov 2019 against the “BMF” champ Jorge Masvidal. Masvidal defeated Diaz by TKO due to cuts.
