Conor McGregor sends a message after miraculous rescue in Ireland

Conor McGregor has remained busy during his retirement staying engaged with his fans and community. Recently, McGregor took to Twitter to announce some great news.

McGregor revealed that the two Irish paddleboarders who had gone missing off the Ireland coast were finally found. Both girls were found after they were swept nearly 17 miles off the shore.

The two girls faced horrendous weather conditions and drifted out to sea for nearly 16 hours. The father of the two girls admitted he had lost all hope of ever finding them.

“Great news that these Irish paddle boarders are now safe after 16 hours at sea. Over 300,00 drowning deaths occur worldwide. A crazy statistic! I am committed to helping improve water safety,” said McGregor on Twitter.

Conor announced his partnership with Princess Chalene’s team for the Marathon endurance Race to raise awareness after revealing that deaths due to drowning have reached nearly 3000,000 deaths per year, truly a scary statistic.

Conor McGregor will back in action in a new sport to promote water safety and fitness for the fans.

In his recent Instagram post, McGregor confirmed his partnership with Princess Charlene of Monaco. McGregor and Princess Charlene will volunteer in the upcoming Marathon Endurance Race to spread awareness regarding water safety and physical fitness.

McGregor announced his involvement with the venture via social media and wrote, “I appreciate the support and encouragement I have received in Monaco. Let’s go team [McGregor FAST]!”

As per reports, the upcoming event will be a 180 km journey over water, with the primary focus to raise awareness of hydro safety. The UFC veteran has been training using his own McGregor F.A.S.T program to prepare for the event. Although there have been no official announcements regarding the dates, the event is expected to happen in September.

The UFC star has been very active in promoting safety and donating to various social causes. Conor has donated to first responders through his brand Proper No.12.

McGregor has also been at the forefront of the coronavirus pandemic donating masks to several local hospitals.

No official news has been announced regarding a potential return to the octagon.
