“If I see him in person, I’m going to fight him”- Mike Perry sends message to Darren Till

A beef that started out of boredom has quickly turned into one of the biggest beefs in the UFC. Mile Perry is taking his issues with Darren Till very seriously.

On Saturday, Mike Perry entered the octagon looking to get back in the win column and fight Mickey Gall in the co-main event of UFC on ESPN 12. Perry made headlines last week for his unexpected decision to ditch his coaches and cornerman. Perry opted to have his girlfriend in his corner and was heavily criticized.

Mike won via unanimous decision. Following his victory, Perry spoke at the post-fight press conference and had a few words to say about Darren Till.

“Man, 170 is such a great place for me, but I want to fight Darren Till,” Perry told reporters at UFC APEX, which hosted Saturday’s ESPN-televised event in Las Vegas. “I do want to fight that guy.”

“If I see him in person, I’m going to fight him. Nobody’s going to stop me. I’m going to grab him. I’m going to stick my finger is in his eye, and I’m going to get ahold of him. I’ll say it out loud because I don’t care.”

Till and Perry’s beef stemmed in 2017 when the two sparred at a hotel. The exchange seemed to have squashed the beef for a short period of time.

The two have been taking jabs at each other on social media ever since.

Recently, during quarantine, Till has been a bit bored and very active on social media. Till trolled Perry by creating a website called mikeperryisabum.com.

Darren started the feud as a joke but Perry has taken the exchange very seriously and personally.

Till tried to squash the beef tweeting.

“Listen @PlatinumPerryvI know I’ve persecuted u these past few months, But I genuinely want u to win Saturday. Stop fucking talking about me now & focus on ur fight cos it’s not going to b easy Then after it u can come see me, I respect you as a fighter & a person.#Focus #RawDog.”

Perry seems to have no interest in squashing the beef and is even willing to go up in weight to make Till eat his words.

“I want to go to South Florida and work with Yoel and feel that 185-pound weight class,” he said.

Perry will have to wait to get his opportunity to fight Till. Till is headlining the “Fight Island” event against former champion Robert Whittaker scheduled for July 25.
