‘We’re going to build our own hotel’- UFC President Dana White announces UFC Hotel

UFC President Dana White is much more than just an MMA promoter.

White announced plans to build a UFC hotel to house the fighters in Las Vegas.

The UFC bossman told reporters he had purchased 10 acres as part of a local expansion that would add a UFC hotel for fighters and staff as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

“I don’t even know if you guys know this, but fuck it, I’ll tell you anyway,” White told MMA Junkie. ”We just bought 10 acres over here, too. We’ve got another 10 acres now.

We’re going to build our own hotel. We’ll be completely self-sufficient. It will be more designed for fighters.

Just like the APEX was designed for fighting and putting on special events, this place would be designed exactly for what our needs are in a hotel.”

The promotion has been consistently running fights during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Having their own hotel would solve several logistical issues and would be easier to create a “bubble.”

“The APEX has been incredible,” White said. “What we’ve been able to do during this thing has been unbelievable.

I don’t even know if you guys know this but I’ll f*ckin tell you anyway, we just bought another 10 acres [near UFC HQ]. We’ll probably start building again next year.

Without seeing the blueprints we can assume the UFC hotel will be a success, judging from previous ventures such as UFC Fight Island.

“It would be more designed for fighters,” White explained. “Just like the APEX is designed for fighting and putting on special events, this place would be designed exactly for what our needs are for a hotel.”
