UFC President Dana White calls out….
Aside from being the UFC President and promoter, Dana White, was involved in the fight long before the UFC. Dana was 17 years old when he first started boxing later became a boxing instructor. Dana is known for his personality and has feuded with several fighters, media, members, and celebrities.
Recently, Dan Lebetard had Dana White on his show. During the interview Dan challenged Dana to a fight as playful banter. Dana White accepted the challenge and even offered to donate 2500,000 to the charity of choice.
Dana later appeared on ESPN and doubled down on the challenge.
“Dan Le Batard is a bigmouth. He’s all talk and no action,” White said on ESPN. “I can promise you if he’s even remotely serious, it ends very badly for him. But, Dan Le Batard, if you are serious, I’ll put up $250,000 for whatever charity we come up with and we can do it, pal.”
Le Batard is apparently holding out for more money.
“Counter offer on radio next week. He can’t bully the negotiations with his BS low first offer. I’m not one of the many fighters he likes to underpay, Le Betard tweeted.
The bout was initially Le Batard’s idea.
“I would like to fight you, though,” Le Batard said. “How do you think that would end up going, you and me? Can we do that for charity? Can we raise a bunch of money for charity?
“I’ve got about 80 pounds on you, White. About 80 pounds. And your weight fluctuates. You are also a weight fluctuater, so I don’t know what kind of shape you’re in, but what I’m telling you is I’m going to get in shape. Let’s raise some money for charity. Give me a straight answer: Are you and I going to fight for an enormous amount of money?”
White quickly replied.
“Hell yes!” White said. “Absolutely. It ends very badly for you. Very badly, that I promise.”
