The Return Of The ” Notorious” Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor says he will make his long-awaited comeback to MMA on January 18, 2020 at UFC 246.
The 31-year-old has been out of action since 2018 when he was defeated by Khabib Nurmagomedov, but he says he will return at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
McGregor refused to disclose the name of his opponent earlier this year when he announced his return on ESPN.
“As far as the opponent, I have the opponent’s name, but from the game I’m in and from experience, if I was to give you his name, which I would love to do, I know the UFC would flip it because they are a craft company,” he told press conference in Moscow, Russia.
“Ask the UFC who the opponent is because I do not give a f**k who the opponent is.”

On Thanksgiving Day McGregor officially announced his return to face top UFC Welterweight and Lightweight contender, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone via Twitter.
Although McGregor has not competed in over a year and has not won a Mixed Martial Arts bout since November of 2016, he is optimistic on his return.
“I am going to go through the entire roster like a chainsaw through butter.”
Conor has made headlines this past year but often for the wrong reasons. A video releasing on social media in August appeared to show the Irishman punching an older man in the head at a pub in Dublin.
The Irishman was also involved in an incident in July after allegedly smashing a fans phone. He was arrested and released the next day at a Miami Dade jail in Miami, FL.
Will the Irishman be able to overcome his recent setback or will the “Notorious” one return to his former glory?
