Conor McGregor trolls Floyd Mayweather in hilarious post

The king of social media is back, again. UFC superstar Conor McGregor has been retired for a few months now but has stayed relevant in the MMA community through several of his hilarious Instagram posts. 

McGregor took to Instagram to share an iconic moment. Conor posted a throwback photo back when he slapped one of the greatest boxers Floyd Mayweather’s head. The historic moment took place during a press conference ahead of their boxing match that took place back in August of 2017.  

Conor captions the photo with a hilarious caption. “Big sweaty wet clatter. @worldstar.”

Talks of a potential crossover fight between MMA and boxing had fight fans skeptical, at first. Once UFC President Dana White announced the fight, the event was trending worldwide.

A series of press conferences that took place in different locations around the world launched the beginning of the historic event.

Conor McGregor drew a large following with his clever insults, fast comebacks, and cocky demeanor. Both fighters had moments of their own during the press conferences but it was now time to fight and the trash-talking was now over.

During the fight, McGregor started off strong surprising many landing significant strikes and even won rounds against arguably the greatest boxer of all time.

The undefeated boxer started to take over later in the rounds and won via TKO in the 10th round.

The spectacle that culminated in an amazing fight between the two superstars. The contest remains one of the most viewed and memorable events in combat sports history. 

The constant trolling and callout outs between the two parties has fans wondering if the rematch will ever take place.

Although retired, both fighters remain the largest draws in their respective sport and would be a wise business move to do business together in the future.
