Brock Lesnar is now a free agent, cuts ties with WWE

Brock Lesnar has hit the open market and is now a free agent.

The former UFC heavyweight champion has cut ties with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) after failing to come to terms with a new contact.

The news was first reported by PWInsider and later confirmed by ESPN.

As a result, WWE pulled all Brock Lesnar’s merchandise from its online store.

The 43-year old has been a combat sports superstar in both the UFC and WWE. Following reports of his free agency, talks of Brock’s return to the octagon took over social media.

Lesnar won the UFC heavyweight title in just his fourth professional fight at UFC 91.

Lesnar headlined several major pay-per-views during his prime but he’s only made one octagon appearance since 2011. The win over Mark Hunt was later overturned due to a failed drug test.

In April 2019, Lesnar retired from the sport and returned to WWE.

It’s tough to know if Lesnar still has the desire to fight again, but based on his physical shape and relationship with UFC President Dana White, a return to the octagon is possible.

Let’s not forget about Bellator, Scott Coker has all that Viacom money to spend on a big name like Lesnar.

When asked if he was interested in signing Lesnar, Coker responded.

“Yes, if he’s truly available. Fedor vs. Brock is interesting. It’s the fight that never happened!”

No doubt, the UFC will be the front runner if Lesnar decides to return to MMA. Several big fights could be looming around the corner of the “Beast Incarnate.”
