Twitter war begins between McGregor, Diaz, and Nurmagomedov

There is no better time to be a UFC fan. The UFC was able to pivot amid the pandemic and remained open for business putting on the best fights possible.

The lightweight division has been one of the divisions with the best fights. Filled with killers such as Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Conor McGregor, and Nate Diaz there is no lack of potential matchups.

This October, the champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will defend his title against Justin Gaethje. Gaethje was seen in a training video working on his boxing. Khabib took the opportunity to remind him of the war he will encounter when they meet.

“Justin is a very nice guy and good opponent for me, but when octagon close he have to be ready not only boxing match, I’m not Dustin [Poirier] or Tony [Ferguson],” Nurmagomedov wrote on Instagram. “I will take him to the deepest ocean and drown him.”

The social media king of the UFC, Conor McGregor, dropped a comment on the post to give his interpretation.

“In other words — ‘I’m going to be running around the outside of the cage, s—-ing my pants. And within the first 10 seconds of the fight, I’m diving at his legs for a good whiff of his jockstrap’,” said McGregor, according to ESPN MMA.

Of course, Nate Diaz had to join the party and left a comment of his own.

“Lol sit ya a** down till 2021,” Nate wrote mocking Conor for only fighting once in 2020.

The feud between all four men continues. Perhaps, a matchup may come of this? For, now McGregor remains retired and the lightweight division will have a title fight in October.
