The “Sugar Show” returns
“Sugar” Sean O’Malley has quickly become one of the UFC’s most popular fighters. Sean’s flashy striking style mixed with his bold confident predictions has catapulted him into UFC superstardom.
Sean returns to the octagon for the third time this year to fight top bantamweight contender Marlon “Chito” Vera.
It looks like both fighters will get their wish as they were both campaigning for this fight.
O’Malley revealed the news today on his YouTube channel. Sean revealed he is scheduled to fight Marlon vera at UFC 252 on Aug 15 at the UFC Apex.

“It’s signed on my side,” O’Malley said. “I don’t know if it’s signed on his side, but it’s happening. It’s going down.”
“For me, my advantage is my footwork and my movement. So the bigger the cage, the better for me. So Fight Island’s gonna have a big cage. Vegas has a smaller cage. But I’d way rather fight in Vegas, but I’d rather fight in a bigger cage.”

Reports have confirmed that Vera has also signed the contract and the fight is on.
Sean is coming off a first-round TKO of UFC veteran Eddie Wineland. The undefeated bantamweight has won all of his 12 fights and has cracked the Top 15 in his division and will be looking to reach the Top 10 on Aug 15.
Marlon “Chito” Vera was riding a five-fight winning streak before losing a controversial loss to Song Yadong in May.
Both fighters will look to break the Top 10 of one of UFC’s deepest divisions.
UFC 252 will be headlined by the heavyweight title fight trilogy between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier.
With the addition, UFC 252 now includes:
- Champ Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier – for the heavyweight title
- Junior Dos Santos vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik
- Sean O’Malley vs. Marlon Vera
- Livinha Souza vs. Ashley Yoder

- Felice Herrig vs. Virna Jandiroba
- Rogerio Bontorin vs. Manel Kape
