Beneil Dariush finishes opponent with walk-off highlight-reel spinning back fist knockout

The UFC continues to put on spectacular fights this summer. Yesterday, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas we witnessed crazy knockouts, submissions, and competitive fights.

Beneil Dariush is a UFC lightweight veteran who is building quite a highlight reel of knockouts in recent fights.

The 31-year old capped off his UFC Vegas 6 fight with a shocking spinning back fist.

Beneil gets the KO win in the first round againt Scott Holzman.

Check out the jaw-dropping KO below.

As much as he enjoyed the knockout, Beneil is such a good competitor that he apologized for missing weight and offered his UFC reward for the performance to go to his opponent.

“I gotta say even though I won, I’m super embarrassed how it went yesterday,” Dariush said. “I missed weight. Dana [White], if you’re listening and that was performance worthy, give it to Scott. That’s the right thing to do.”

Prior to the knockout, the fight was very competitive with both men landing strikes. Dariush landed a huge knee that wobbled Scott and Dariush was going for the kill but Holtzman showed off his durability and absorbed a lot of the punishment.

Holtzman tried to respond but his efforts left him open for the devastating spinning back fist that ultimately ended the fight.

Dariush is now on a 5-fight win streak and puts himself in a position to fight a ranked opponent next in the lightweight division.
